Evolution

From version to current state

Concept

Start with a high-intent property problem rather than a generic topic.

Problem

The site was blocked from search engines from launch by a single robots.txt line, and the sitemap listed 18 of 48 pages.

Intervention

Opened robots.txt, rebuilt the sitemap to cover every hub, guide and state page, and confirmed the fix in Search Console.

Current state

All 48 pages indexed, with a JSON-driven data layer behind the city and state pages.

What this project demonstrates

Build decisions, not just screenshots

Give a high-intent visitor a useful path through a stressful service problem. The useful evidence is in the decisions, the changes, the failures, and the next steps. This page is the evergreen map; the journal entries below preserve the chronological record.

The Bug That Taught Me More Than the Content Did

DryOutHub had 48 real pages of water-damage and mold content. Google still flagged it as low value. The content wasn't the problem — and finding out what actually was taught me more than writing the content ever did.

Three of my sites have the same weird bug, and I don't think that's an accident

DryOutHub, FixRn, and BizCredX all block outside tools from reading them, and none of them show up in search either. Three coincidences, or one shared mistake?

Building something in this space? This project is a real example of the kind of architecture and decision-support work I take on for client builds — not a template, structured around what the actual business needs.
